Dilafruz Williams, Education faculty, has been appointed to the Metro Policy Advisory Committee established by the Metro charter approved by voters in 1992. The 28-member committee of local government representatives and citizens advises the Metro Council on the amendment or adoption of the Regional Framework Plan that includes regional transportation, management of urban growth boundary, protection of lands outside the urban growth boundary, and planning responsibilities required by state law. Williams is chair of the Portland School Board.
