Alan Yeakley, Environmental Sciences faculty, received a four-year gubernatorial appointment to serve on the Independent Multidisciplinary Science Team, a scientific review panel charged with advising the state of Oregon on matters related to fish recovery, water quality improvements, and enhancing watershed health. The seven-member board provides independent, scientific analysis and evaluation of state actions and policies under the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds. Yeakley’s appointment marks the first time someone from PSU will serve on the team.
