Oregon Mentors, OregonASK, and PSU’s Center for Interdisciplinary Mentoring research invite you to a training on including LGBTQ youth in youth programming. In this training, researchers Kris Gowen, Ph.D. and Christian Rummell, will discuss the following topics:
• Identifying how to provide safe spaces for LGBTQ youth
• What data says about the risk and protective factors of LGBTQ youth in Oregon
• Review terms/know the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity, why is this important?
• How to identify and correct biases commonly found in youth-serving organizations
