La Bohème opens this week

The University's award winning opera program presents Puccini's La Bohème Friday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Lincoln Performance Hall. Directed by internationally renowned Tito Capobianco, students will sing in Italian with English surtitles for the five performances through May 3. Meet Web master candidates

Candidates for the PSU Web Communications Director position will meet with the campus community this week and next in open forums from 3:15 to 4 p.m. Brad Hinson is scheduled for Monday, April 21, in 294 Smith Union. A forum with Kristin Boden-MacKay is planned for Thursday, May 1, in 170 Library; and Richard Sipe is scheduled to meeting with the campus community May 2 also in 170 Library. Outstanding student employees named

Yoshini Gunawardena was chosen 2008 PSU Student Employee of the Year at the annual reception April 16. Gunawardena works in Campus Recreation Programs. Four outstanding honorees were also named: Janine Cunningham, Master of International Management Program; Archana Parajuli, New Student Programs; Josh Read, Campus Recreation Programs; and Raisa Trivanov, Networking and Telecom Services. read more >

Tower dedicated in Debbie Murdock's memory

Friends and colleagues of the late Debbie Murdock, former assistant to the president for Government Relations, will gather in the Urban Center Plaza Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m. to dedicate the metal structure on the corner of Southwest Sixth and Montgomery Streets. Call for University Studies portfolio reviewers

University Studies is looking for faculty and graduate assistants to assist with its annual review of student portfolios June 18 and 19. Faculty on nine-month contracts will be paid $175 for each day or $25 per hour. Graduate students will be paid at $12 per hour. Faculty who are on 12-month contracts will be reimbursed by their departments or programs. Lunch is provided. Party for Charlie Miller
