2012 Hooding Ceremony

The College of Urban & Public Affairs will be holding its tenth annual hooding ceremony for Master's and Ph.D. graduates Friday, June 15th at 11:00 a.m. It will take place at the Peter Stott Center. There will be a short program followed by a presentation of the graduates. Family and friends are encouraged to attend, and there is no limit on the number of guests per graduate.

College of Urban & Public Affairs Hooding Ceremony information

• Students must be in regalia in order to participate in the Hooding Ceremony. You can purchase your cap and gown, announcements or other regalia at the PSU Bookstore. The bookstore’s website is: www.portlandstatebookstore.com. Caps and gowns will be available through June 16th, but availability of sizes decreases the closer you get to Commencement.
• Pricing for regalia (includes cap, gown, tassel, and hood)
  • Master: $82.95
  • Doctoral: $99.95
• Tassel colors
  • MA, MS, MPA, MPA/HA, MPH/HMP, EMPA, MURP, MUS - Peacock Blue
  • MPH, MPH/HP - Salmon
  • All PhDs - Old Gold
• Students will need to arrive at 10:00am to the Small Gymnasium in the Peter Stott Center on June 15th to change into regalia and line up by degree for the procession.  More detailed instructions will be sent out to students participating in the ceremony closer to June 15th.
