After-Hours Admission Policy

Purpose

CPSO recognizes the need for students and faculty to have access to University Facilities after hours in order to perform course-related work. After hours is defined as anytime other than normal, regular working hours, i.e. 0800-1700, Monday-Friday, during times of inclement weather, holidays, or other emergent circumstances.

Policy

Campus Public Safety Office will establish guidelines for which members of the University community can access University facilities for other than regular hours.

Procedure

CPSO will assist authorized after-hours admission with the guidelines as stated below:

  1. Fax or E-mail alphabetized list to cpso@pdx.edu , or send us the list on Department letterhead. Both must include ID, Name, Room, Expiration Date not to exceed 1 term, and signed by the Department Head or it must have the Department Heads E-mail address.
  2. Officer discretion allows for evaluation of need and present assignments for all other circumstances.

Exceptions:

  1. During inclement weather days when the University is closed, the Director or Designee may choose not to allow admission to University facilities, regardless of normal policy authorization, in order to maintain a secure and closed campus.
