Communication students examine discourse across channels, including face-to-face talk, mass media messages and organizational interactions. Our graduate students bring rich cultural and intellectual diversity: students from Japan, China, Italy, Iran and Thailand join their U.S. peers in classes and research on political communication, metaphors in language, doctor-patient dialogue and propaganda campaigns.
