Portland State University's Multimedia Professional Program presents the "WebVisions 2005 Pre-conference Visionary Workshops," and "WebVisions 2005 Student Competition Exhibit," on July 14, 2005 at PSU. The events are held as a part of the "Webvisions 2005 Conference," which will take place on July 15, 2005 at the Oregon Convention Center and is co-sponsored by PSU.
The "WebVisions 2005 Pre-conference Visionary Workshops" will cover topics such as search engine optimization, design, Flash animation and usability. Attendees will be eligible for substantial student discounts on software on the day of the workshops. The "WebVisions 2005 Student Competition Exhibit" will include all approved entries selected by a panel of Oregon Web and interactive design professionals. Students enrolled in Web or interactive courses for the 2004-05 academic year are invited to submit their projects which will be judged on design, usability, technical merit, innovation, overall value and creativity. Three finalists will be selected and their entries will be presented and awarded at the WebVisions 2005 Conference. Deadline for the entries is June 22, 2005. The pre-conference workshops and the student competition exhibit will be held at PSU's College of Urban and Public Affairs (506 S.W. Mill Street), Portland, Ore.
