Busy high-tech professionals working in Washington County's Silicon Forest can now earn a PSU engineering or computer science master's degree just minutes away from their employer.
At a recent celebration, Robert Dryden, dean of the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science, announced the delivery of evening and weekend master degree programs in computer science, electrical and computer engineering and engineering and technology management, as well as the Oregon Master of Software Engineering at the CAPITAL Center in Beaverton.
"PSU's Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science is an important partner for us at Intel," said Morgan Anderson, education relations manager at Intel Corporation. "We're pleased that PSU will now be offering master's degrees in engineering right here in Washington County. Our employees will no longer have to commute to downtown Portland to complete their PSU graduate degrees."
The Maseeh College's expanded presence in the region is also visible on PSU's downtown campus with the nearly completed engineering tower in the Northwest Center for Engineering, Science and Technology. The 130,000 square-foot tower, located at SW 4th Avenue, is made possible in part by Portland State's $100 million Building Our Future Campaign.
