Sean Kohles, Mechanical and Materials Engineering faculty, served on four grant proposal review panels for the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, this past year. These reviewing efforts addressed the funding mechanisms: Challenge Grants in Health and Science Research; Biomedical Research, Development, and Growth to Spur the Acceleration of New Technologies; Shared Instrumentation; and Innovative Grants for Young Investigators, a program in partnership with the Italian Health Ministry.
