Eager to forge connections with these international alumni and create Middle East study abroad opportunities for business students, a delegation of Portland State advocates travelled to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in winter 2009.

School of Business Administration Dean Scott Dawson, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Marvin Kaiser, and Middle East Liaison Linda Morrell had the pleasure of meeting many alumni with multiple family members and friends who graduated from PSU, and many whose children and relatives are current students. 
   
In spring Dean Scott Dawson returned with a larger delegation, including President Wim Wiewel, for PSU's annual Middle East alumni reunion in Doha. They also visited Riyadh and Abu Dhabi to meet additional alumni and organize the two-week study trip for SBA students this winter.  Portland State's Middle East alumni were eager advocates for the university, happy to host representatives of PSU and pleased to nurture an active alumni community.
   
The SBA continues to grow relationships with our Middle Eastern alumni and discover more learning opportunities.
