What: Portland State University will unveil its Center for Electron Microscopy and Nanofabrication, a signature research facility of the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnology Institute (ONAMI).
The morning includes opening remarks and a panel discussion, moderated by Skip Rung, ONAMI executive director and president. Panelists include current users of the facility from University of Oregon, Oregon Health & Science University, ON Semiconductor, Oregon State University and Portland State.
David Chen, OVP Venture Partners and ONAMI Board chair, will deliver the luncheon keynote, “The ONAMI Vision.”
When: 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Friday, October 13. Opening remarks and panel discussion begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon and keynote address, and dedication of the facility at 1:15 p.m.

Facility dedication and tour: Science Building 1 (1025 SW Mill St.).

Background: The Center for Electron Microscopy and Nanofabrication at PSU provides researchers with state-of-the-art facilities for the characterization, measurement and fabrication of nanoscale materials and devices.
The Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute (ONAMI) is a collaboration between Oregon’s research universities, Pacific Northwest National Laboratories and industry partners. ONAMI, is Oregon's first signature research center and was created to cultivate research and commercialization to advance Oregon's leading economic sector and expand the benefits of technology innovation to traditional and natural resource industries.
