Gerald Recktenwald receives NSF grant
Gerald Recktenwald, Mechanical and Materials
Engineering faculty, was recently awarded a two-year, $150,000 Course,
Curriculum and Laboratory Improvement grant from the National Science
Foundation. The title of the project is "The Engineering of Everyday
Things -- Laboratory Exercises in the Thermal and Fluid Sciences.” He is
collaborating with a Penn State-Erie faculty member to develop inquiry-based
laboratory exercises aimed at improving learning for students in mechanical and
civil engineering.
