Chris Berger and Scott Wells present at national Water Environment Federation conference
Chris Berger and Scott Wells, Civil and Environmental Engineering, presented two
papers, "Modeling Effects of Channel Complexity and Hyporheic Flow on
Stream Temperatures" and "Development and Calibration Of Lake Whatcom
Water Quality Model," at the National TMDL (total maximum daily load) 2007
Conference of the Water Environment Federation held in Bellevue, Wash., June
24-27. The Lake Whatcom model work is a collaborative study between the PSU
water quality research group and the Washington Department of Ecology. They are
establishing discharge guidelines for point and non-point sources of pollution
in the Lake Whatcom basin near Bellingham, Wash.
