Here is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY if you are trying to earn a salary while completing your degree. The Air Force would like to introduce the Technical Degree Sponsorship Program (TDSP). If selected into the TDSP you will be enlisted in the US Air Force as an Airman First Class (E-3). Your duty will be to complete your education and then serve four years as an Engineer in the Air Force. You have the opportunity to apply for Developmental, Project, Civil or Communications Engineer. The four year commitment after graduation is guaranteed employment in the Engineering career field. After you complete your degree you will attend Officer Training School and be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, earning between 38-43K annually with regularly scheduled pay raises and promotions. The 4 year obligation is the same obligation that all officers make coming into the Air Force. The Big Difference is we will pay you for up to 24 months to complete your degree.

The basic pay for the rank of E-3 is $1,356.90 so TDSP participants receive more than $16,000 a year. In addition, participants and their dependents are issued ID cards and are entitled to FULL military benefits-including health care, base exchange, commissary privileges and Tax free housing and food allowances.

Housing allowances are $707 per month for single candidates and $849 per month for married. Food allowance average $242.80 per month.

The total financial compensation ranges from $27,660 to $29,364 per year.

We're looking for students in the following technical fields:

- Electrical Engineer - Aeronautical Engineer - Meteorology - Astronautical Engineer - Computer Engineer - Mechanical Engineer

Students must be in good academic standing. Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. on a 4-point scale for all college-level studies, as well as their academic major.

In addition, students must score a minimum of 25 on the verbal and 25 on the quantitative portions of the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test.
