Internship and Volunteer Experiences:
- Booz Allen Hamilton's Emerging Leaders Internship Program — Supports college students with disabilities through paid summer internships and leadership development opportunities.
- ENTRY POINT! American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) — Offers outstanding internship opportunities for students with disabilities in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and some fields of business.
- The Microsoft - Federal AAPD IT Internship Program — Open to any college or university student with a disability who has demonstrated an interest in an IT career. Interns are selected through a competitive application and interview process.
- Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation - AAPD Congressional Internship Program — Provides students with disabilities to work on Capitol Hill for eight weeks.
- The Washington Center — Provides a total of 50 competitive scholarship awards in the amount of $7,430 for students with disabilities interested in working in the executive, judicial or legislative branches of the federal government during the spring 2005 and fall 2005 semesters (scholarships are not available in the summer).

- American Association of People with Disabilities: — Largest national nonprofit cross-disability membership organization in the United States. They work to ensure economic self-sufficiency and political empowerment for all disabled Americans.

- PSU Disability Resource Center — Provides students with disabilities provides pre-admission counseling, academic planning, and a variety of academic accommodations.
- Disability Advocacy Cultural Association (DACA) — Service and advocacy student group that provides resources as well as opportunities for students with disabilities to connect with other students, to plan and/or participate in campus and community events.
- Independent Living Resources — Offers advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling and skills training. ILR serves people with all disabilities.
