National
Service Learning Clearinghouse - The Learn and Serve America
National Service-Learning Clearinghouse (NSLC) supports the service-learning
community in higher education, kindergarten through grade twelve,
community-based initiatives and tribal programs, as well as all
others interested in strengthening schools and communities using
service-learning techniques and methodologies. The Clearinghouse stands ready to assist with materials, references,
referrals, and information. The Clearinghouse also maintains this
website and an ever-growing library collection that is available
to Learn and Serve America grantees.
National Campus Compact
- Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 900 college
and university presidents committed to the civic purposes of higher
education. To support this civic mission, Campus Compact promotes
community service that develops students' citizenship skills and
values, encourages partnerships between campuses and communities,
and assists faculty who seek to integrate public and community engagement
into their teaching and research.
Oregon
Campus Compact - Oregon Campus Compact is a coalition of 11
institutions of higher education whose member presidents are committed
to the civic purposes of higher education. Oregon Campus Compact
is a state affiliate chapter of Campus Compact. ORCC promotes community
service that develops student citizenship, encourages campus-community
partnerships, and assists faculty who seek to integrate service-learning and civic education
into their teaching and research.
Corporation
for National and Community Service - The Corporation’s
mission is to provide opportunities for Americans of all ages and
backgrounds to engage in service that addresses the nation’s
educational, public safety, environmental, and other human needs
to achieve direct and demonstrable results and to encourage all
Americans to engage in such service. In doing so, the Corporation
will foster civic responsibility, strengthen the ties that bind
us together as a people, and provide educational opportunity for
those who make a substantial commitment to service.
