Service Opportunities in the Portland Metropolitan Community

Hands On Greater Portland provides volunteers with a variety of meaningful service and leadership opportunities by connecting volunteers with opportunities that match their passions, schedules and interests. Volunteers can select from one-time, group-based volunteering, longer-term positions and opportunities for volunteer leadership.

Browse the calendar of projects, register, sign-up for the project, then show up the day of the event ready to do hands-on, direct service volunteering. All calendar projects are led by trained volunteer leaders and incorporate service-learning elements. Hands On Greater Portland believes that everyone can do something for the community. Hands On develops this potential in volunteers by connecting them with opportunities through a network of over 250+ nonprofits to feed the hungry, teach our children, house the homeless, restore our environment and meet other important community needs.
