Assessing Service Learning and Civic Engagement: Principles and Techniques by: Amy Driscoll, Sherril Gelmon, Barbara Holland and Amy Spring - A comprehensive guide designed to assist faculty, students, institutional leaders, and community partners in understanding and assessing the impact of community-based service learning. It includes an overview of assessment measures, guides for the administration of each measure and suggestions for how to use assessment data to further improve teaching and learning.

Civic Engagement VALUE Rubric- Created for institutional-level use in evaluating and discussing student learning, the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) rubrics were developed by teams of faculty experts representing colleges and universities across the United States.  CAE members were included on this team and assisted in the articulation of criteria for Civic Engagement learning outcomes and performance.
