About us

The Bursar's Office provides University support services with four teams: Cashiering, Student Accounts, Student Collections and ID Card Services.

Mission

The Bursar's Office assists students in understanding the many facets of their financial obligation to the University. We help students by providing timely information about student's financial accounts and recording payments.

The Bursar's Office has four support teams:

Cashiering Services
Student Accounts
Student Collections
ID Card Services

Bursar's Office services:

• Maintain Banner tuitions and fee tables, as well as other A/R tables
• Maintain detail code tables
• Coordinate cashiering, receivables, collections and ID card services staff
• Develop processes and procedures for the office
• Issue 1098-T forms
• Process and collect Perkins Loans

Release of Student Records

Do you need to give another party permission to discuss your account when you are not present? The Portland State University Records Policy, in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), requires written consent from students to authorize disclosure of non-directory information from their record. If you are dealing with a party that has requested this information, click here to go to the Forms and Policies page, where you can print a Student Records Release to fill out and submit to the Bursar's Office.
