Apply to BFA Program

Application deadline is April 17, 2011. 

The Art Department will begin accepting applications for the BFA program in March 2011.

Please submit application requirements using Slideroom:

Requirements for application:

- 10 images of current work (the utmost care should be used in the selection)

- Names and contact info of two references (faculty or other professionals)

- Minimum 3.0 GPA in Art Practices/Art History

- Resume

- Respond to the following three questions (200 word max each):

          1) What are your expectations for the BFA program and how will it contribute towards your long term goals?

          2) What are your thoughts on the relationship between the arts and other disciplines?  What other disciplines influence your art?

          3) Select a contemporary artist and a specific work of theirs that you feel best characterizes your own artistic interests.  Please

              explain why.

- Transcripts or DARS report for current PSU students (if not able to upload please provide a hard copy of your latest DARS to the Art Office by the date mentioned above)

The applicants should have completed a minimum of 72 credits toward their BA/BS degree in Art Practices and finished with most of their university requirements prior to applying.
