  1. Talya Bauer, business faculty, was interviewed for “Oregon Labor Unions Notch Wins as Membership, Leverage Grows,” published Feb. 6 in The Oregonian.
  2. Heejun Chang, geography faculty, was featured in Times Standard’s article “Threatened Salmon Face Another Hot Summer in the Trinity River. 
  3. Darrell Grant, music faculty, appeared on OPB’s “Think Out Loud” on Feb. 24 to discuss the Albina Arts building’s rejuvenation as a restoration center. 
  4. Maura Kelly, sociology faculty, was awarded the Distinguished Contribution to Sociological Praxis Award from the Pacific Sociological Association. The award honors sociological work in the Pacific region that has made a positive impact on social and organizational institutions, improved organizational performance, contributed to community betterment, and/or eased human suffering.
  5. Anahita Khodadadi, architecture faculty, appeared on a panel at Open Ed Week on March 10, organized by the Open Oregon Educational Resources, to discuss framing open-access textbooks. 
  6. Alberto McKelligan Hernandez, Art + Design faculty, appeared on OPB’s “Think Out Loud” on Feb. 28 to discuss Frida Kahlo and cultural appropriation of Indigenous cultures. 
  7. Wendy Willis, Director of Oregon’s Kitchen Table, was interviewed by OPB for a Feb. 22 story about a statewide community engagement effort with the Oregon Department of Education to learn what people think about Oregon’s high school graduation requirements.
