  1. Talya Bauer, business faculty, gave a virtual keynote talk titled “Virtual Onboarding: Research-based Overview and Advice” at HRNorge, Oslo, Norway, on Dec. 10. 
  2. Kathy Harris, Gloria Jacobs, and Jill Castek, applied linguistics faculty and members of PSU’s Literacy, Language, and Technology research group, presented three papers in a symposium titled “Adult Literacy and Learning: What Does Analysis Based on Critical Race Theory Reveal?” at the Literacy Research Association virtual conference on Dec. 3.  
  3. Rachel Noorda and Kathi Inman Berens, English faculty, presented “Immersive Media 2020: A Report on Books and Reading Before and During COVID” for the panel  “Active Readership” at the Modern Languages Association 2021 Convention in January.
  4. Mrinalini Tankha, anthropology faculty, presented a paper titled “Detained Settlements: Electronic Payment Infrastructures and Precarity in US-Cuba Financial Transactions” at the Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy 2021 Conference on Jan. 5.
