About the PNW LSAMP Alliance

PSU LSAMP is a member of the Pacific Northwest LSAMP Alliance (PNW LSAMP) alongside Oregon State University, Washington State University, University of Washington, and Boise State University. One of many LSAMP Alliances across the US, PNW LSAMP enables educators and advocates from science centers, pre-college programs, community colleges and four-year institutions to leverage their resources to increase success among historically underrepresented STEM students.

The Alliance is administered at the University of Washington’s Seattle campus in partnership with staff from each participating partner. PNW LSAMP partners implement best practices in STEM diversity initiatives that have been disseminated by existing LSAMP programs around the country. Program vision and direction is provided by an advisory board of chief academic officers, diversity officers, and deans from participating institutions. The advisory board works to ensure that the commitment to improving diverse representation in STEM is both enduring and institution-wide.

From a programmatic standpoint, we host annual events including the LSAMP Governing Board meeting and the LSAMP Conference featuring research presentations, information on graduate school, and other professional development opportunities.
