Where am I?

Student Advising IASC

At different times during your college career you may wonder where you stand in regard to the PSU requirements for graduation. Seeing an adviser is appropriate at these times. Also, PSU uses the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) to check students' academic progress.

If you entered PSU as a transfer student you received a transfer evaluation when you were admitted. This evaluation, created by the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), shows how all your courses have been accepted by PSU and how they meet some of the PSU graduation requirements. This evaluation will also show you where you need to begin with the University Studies program (general education).

If you entered PSU as a freshman student, you could run a DARS report after your first term. Though you won't see many requirements satisified like a transfer student might, it would be helpful for you to understand how to read your DARS report early in your academic career. You should have your academic adviser help you with learning to read your DARS report so that you can keep an eye on your progress. Your DARS report will help you keep on track for graduation if you run a new report every term.

At any time while a PSU student you can access a DARS report which can show you where you stand with regard to all the requirements needed for graduation: your major as well as the general education and degree requirements. You can run a DARS report for any major or minor offered at PSU whether it is your declared major/minor or not through your myPSU account.
