University honors
The University Honors Program is an alternative way to meet general education requirements, intended for students with combined SAT scores of 1200 or higher and a high school GPA of 3.50 planning to pursue an advanced degree after graduation. Most students in University Honors begin as freshmen. There are two tracks: the liberal arts track and the professional/technical track. As a student in University Honors you will complete a core component of work that will satisfy the general education requirements. The core curriculum is designed so that the largest commitment of time to the University Honors Program falls in the first two years. In your junior and senior years, you will be expected to complete at least two upper-division seminars and to write a senior thesis.
