Welcome

We invite you to visit Portland State University and experience the rich combination of academic and city life in the heart of Portland. Learn why Portland State is the university of choice for more than 25,000 students. Here are your options:

PSU Friday

On select Fridays in January, February, April, and May we host PSU Friday, half-day events for prospective freshmen and transfer students. You'll participate in a series of informational sessions and activities, and learn how to apply for admission. Learn more about PSU Friday

Personal and Group Visits

If the events listed above don't work with your schedule, our Campus Visit Coordinators are happy to arrange a visit that better suits you. We'll arrange a tour of campus, an opportunity to learn about the Portland State admissions process, and a preview of campus housing options. Learn more about Personal and Group Visits

Orientation

Once you've been admitted to Portland State, your next step is to attend Orientation. You'll meet with an academic adviser, learn about general education options and degree requirements, plan your class schedule, be introduced to available student resources, and connect with students, faculty, and staff. You should receive an invitation to attend Orientation several weeks before your first term of attendance at Portland State. Learn more about Orientation
