How to Apply: Transfer

Eligibility

Students with 30 or more transferable quarter credits (20 semester credits) will be considered transfer students. Students with fewer than 30 transferable quarter credits must meet the admissions requirements for both college transfer and high school students.

Step One:  Transfer Admission Requirements

Determine whether or not you meet the minimum transfer requirements for admission.

Step Two: Apply

Send your online or paper version of the application for undergraduate admission (accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of $50.00) to the Office of Admissions, Registration and Records.

Please be aware of our priority application filing dates.

Step Three: Submit Official Transcript(s)

An official transcript is required from every college or university previously attended.

Note: To be official, the transcript must be in its original, sealed envelope from the issuing school or institution. All documents submitted to the University become the property of Portland State University and cannot be returned, copied or released.

Please send all required documents to the Office of Admissions, Registration and Records.
