Returning Students
Former Portland State University students who have attended another college or university since leaving PSU, or who wish to enroll after an absence of more than one academic year must submit a Change of Admission Term form to the Office of Admissions, Registration and Records. Download the appropriate paper copy under the Change of Admission Term section from our Admissions Forms page.
Official transcripts must be submitted from each institution attended since leaving PSU.
Returning students who have not attended another college or university and have attended classes at PSU within the academic year may simply re-enroll by registering for classes online, unless there is an academic or financial hold. If you have a hold or any questions, please contact the Office of Admissions, Registration and Records.
Academic Probation/Disciplinary Disqualification Information
Academic Disqualification
If you have been academically disqualified from Portland State University, you must submit a Scholastic Standards Committee petition and contact the Undergraduate Academic Support Center for information on re-instatement and academic advising. If you have been placed on academic probation at another institution, it will not affect your admission if your complete academic record meets the admission standards in effect at the time of your update request. If you fail to meet the minimum requirements, you must follow the appropriate petition process.
Disciplinary Disqualification
If you have been disqualified from Portland State University for disciplinary reasons, you must contact the Office of Student Affairs, (503) 725-4422 to discuss options for re-enrollment. If you were disqualified from another institution for disciplinary reasons, you must be eligible for re-instatement at your previous institution in order to return to Portland State University.
