Celebrating 35 years of success, Portland State University’s Haystack Summer Program in the Arts presents another all-star line-up of writers, visual artists, musicians and gardeners for its annual creative arts workshops in Cannon Beach, Ore. Registration for Haystack begins March 15, 2004 and the program runs from July 12 - August 6, 2004.

“This year’s faculty is very strong and we have added new art and music classes, faculty lectures in the afternoons which will be open to all students and will allow everyone to benefit from the collective talent on site each week,” said Elizabeth Snyder, program director. “I am also extremely pleased to have Arthur Levine, editor of the American editions of the Harry Potter books, as a special guest for the 2004 Children’s Book Conference, which will take place in Portland this year.”
