SWE Conference: Engineering the Future Together, April 4-6, 2003
Engineering professionals from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington will come together at this conference for activities and speakers emphasizing how engineers can continue to expand their leadership and knowledge while bringing creative new ideas to their work. This is a great opportunity to network with other engineering professionals from the region, make contacts for future jobs, cultivate friendships, sharpen your leadership skills, and have a good time.

Friday, April 4 3:00-5:30 PM Tour of Honda 'Green Facility' Tour the new 212,888-square-foot Honda 'Green Facility' in Gresham, Oregon. This facility is the only industrial facility in the country to have received the LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy Design) Gold standard from the U.S. Green Building Council. The facility, which will serve as a warehouse, training location and zone office, features many environmental innovations in facility design/construction, stormwater management and water conservation. Learn about the 'green' products used in the building's design, construction and operation, including its lighting, heating, flooring, bathroom tiles, wall finishes and exterior landscaping.
6:00-8:00 PM Registration and Evening Social at downtown Portland Hilton. Will include light appetizers and no-host bar. 'Dress for Confidence and Success' Business Attire Fashion Show will take place during the social.
