The Boeing Company has selected PSU's K-12 pre-service math and science teacher-education program as one of 10 in the nation to receive a $40,000 grant to prepare math and science teachers. Boeing sought programs that successfully combined technology, teacher training, and partnerships with local K-12 school systems. The funds will go toward purchasing texts, materials, and technology for the program.

The program is committed to producing graduates who will go on to work in high-poverty and high-minority schools-helping close the math and science achievement gap.
