Psychology Professor Presents Study on Working Couples in the "Sandwiched Generation," Nov. 1

What:
Leslie Hammer’s national study “Working Couples Caring for Children and Parents” highlights dual-earner couples in the “Sandwiched Generation” who must care for children and parents—often while maintaining their own careers. Hammer, associate professor of Psychology at Portland State, will discuss the implications of combining work and multiple family responsibilities for managers, policy makers and working families.

Hammer directs the new Occupational Health Psychology graduate training program at PSU. She also serves on the founding editorial board of the Sloan Work, and Family Research Network’s On-Line Work and Family Encyclopedia.
