Psychology Professor Presents Study on Community Psychology and Video Activism, Nov. 4

What:
Jan Haaken, professor of Psychology at Portland State University, will present her study on “Action! Community Psychology and Video Activism,” which will include a discussion of psychological dimensions of filmmaking and the use of video in social action projects.

Jan Haaken is the author of Pillar of Salt: Gender, Memory and the Perils of Looking Back and co-author of the forthcoming curriculum guide, Speaking Out: Women, War and the Global Economy. Haaken has also co-directed Queens of Heart, a documentary currently in post-production.
