Background
Judy Frankel is known internationally for her interpretations of Sephardic songs learned in the 500-year-old oral tradition from Jewish descendants out of medieval Spain and Portugal. She has performed throughout the U.S. and toured in China, Canada, Cuba, France, Spain, Portugal and Eastern Europe. Judy Frankel divides her time between giving lecture-concerts on history and music of the Sephardim, conducting workshops in Judeo-Spanish song, and performing concerts of her vast Sephardic repertoire.
