PSU undergraduate headed for White House
Posted: April 1, 2004

A PSU economics major will get a first-hand look at the internal workings of the White House this spring as part of his studies in the University Honors Program. Sean Zimmerman, a junior, was selected for a prestigious internship with the President's Council of Economic Advisers in Washington, D.C., which will run through June 2004.

PSU's University Honors Program is a highly selective academic program that admits students who strive for academic excellence and who intend to go on to graduate or professional school. Students in the Honors Program can spend an academic quarter of their junior year living in D.C. and interning with one of several national organizations.

Zimmerman will be joined by two other Honors students in D.C. this spring: Carolyn Dresselhaus, an English major who will be at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Jessica Marsden, a history major who will be working as research assistant and intern in the archives of several Baltimore synagogues.
