What:
Portland State University students and alumni will participate in a community service project this Saturday at Lewis Elementary School in Southeast Portland. PSU students and alumni will work with students from Lewis Elementary to clean up the school grounds, make the school more attractive and artistically inviting, and improve the school's library system.
The project activities include cleaning up and preparing the school's greenhouse and garden for planting and ecology projects for the students, weeding and cleaning up around the fence that surrounds the school and helping the students install their art projects on the fence to make the school look more appealing, and helping the library by entering book data into their new cataloging system. The project is sponsored by the PSU Alumni Association and the PSU Center for Academic Excellence.
