PSU opens Native American Student and Community Center
The project that began as a dream envisioned by generations of Portland State students along with many of the Portland area's 14,000 Native American residents finally become a reality when PSU's Native American Student and Community Center opened its doors for the first time on October 24, 2003.
The center, infused with Native art, provides Northwest tribes with a place to gather. The building serves as both a physical and spiritual landmark, symbolizing Portland State's commitment to continued educational and cultural support of its Native American students and community.
