Professor Jennifer Dorner Chair of prestigious ACRL Instruction Section

Assistant Professor Jennifer Dorner, Humanities and Social Sciences Librarian, is 2006-2007 Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction Section Chair. She is currently midway through her three year elected term of office (Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect 2005-2006; 2006-2007 Chair; 2007-2008 Past-Chair).

ACRL's Instruction Section works on a wide range of issues related to instruction and information literacy. The Section also provides programs at the American Library Association and ACRL conferences, forums for members to share ideas, documents and standards that guide practicing librarians.

The Instruction Section is one of the largest ACRL sections with 4,000+ members, and one of its most active!
