Portland State selects new vice president
Catherine "Cassie" McVeety, director of Campus Advancement at Washington State University (WSU) Vancouver for the past 11 years, has been selected as Portland State University's new vice president for University Relations. McVeety, who starts April 5, will oversee the areas of development, marketing and communications, publications, and alumni relations, and will be responsible for leading the successful closure of PSU's first-ever capital campaign.
At WSU Vancouver, McVeety increased private support of the campus by nearly 800 percent and served on the WSU capital campaign team, which raised over $275 million for all WSU campuses.
