Peace Activist Kathy Kelly to Read at Portland State University

What:
Human rights activist Kathy Kelly will read from her new book "Other Lands Have Dreams: From Baghdad to Pekin Prison," as part of the PSU Library Artists & Writers Series. Her new book recounts trips to Iraq and describes daily life inside a federal prison, where she was sent in 2004 for leading a protest at the School of the Americas.

When:
Friday, December 2, 2005, 7 p.m.

PSU Millar Library, 2nd floor (1875 S.W. Park Ave.).

Cost:

Admission is free and open to the public. Canned food donations for the Oregon Food Bank accepted at the door.

Background:
Kathy Kelly has been nominated several times for the Nobel Peace Prize, is co-founder and co-coordinator for Voices in the Wilderness and author of "Iraq: A Journey of Hope and Peace."
