What:
Portland State University’s Institute for Nonprofit Management is sponsoring a workshop, second in its series “Fire Tower Foresight—the 360º View from the Top” for nonprofit leaders and financial advisors. Growing concern about whistle blowing, board liability, conflicts of interest, executive compensation, use of donor dollars, IRS audits, form 990 errors and governmental regulation has prompted this rigorous pro-active learning event.
Participants will work case studies, get prevention strategies, hear tips from regulators and analyze their nonprofits’ strengths and risk factors. The workshop facilitators include Charles Bernard Maclean of PhilanthropyNow, and Deborah Krause and EJ Honton of Claro Consulting.
When:
Saturday, November 20, 2004, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
