Background:
The intent of this forum is an honest, open dialog about the issues and challenges involved in a peace process—both in Iraq and the United States—that mitigates the otherwise endless cycle of violence and grievances, lowers the human and material costs of conflict, and creates conditions for progress in the true civil society-building and indigenous self-governance. (Note: Jack DuVall will also participate in a brown bag discussion Friday June 9, noon–1 p.m. in Smith Memorial Student Union room 296.)
