What:
International scholar, author and filmmaker Saul Landau will show and discuss his 1980 documentary, "Paul Jacobs & the Nuclear Gang" as part of Portland State University's Artists and Writers Series, in collaboration with the PSU Student Film Group. Co-directed by Jack Willis, the film investigates the government's suppression of health hazards of low-level radiation, and interviews civilians, soldiers and scientists affected by nuclear radiation. Landau's documentary won the 1980 Emmy award for best television program, the George F. Polk Award for investigative journalism on television and the Mannheim Film Festival first critic's prize.
