Background:
The Oregon Sustainable Community Digital Library is designed to be an open access central online repository for the collection, accession and dissemination of key urban planning documents on the Portland Metropolitan Area. The OSCDL is made up of planning reports, grey literature, maps, digital images, Regional Land Information System geographical data and other documents related to planning. Material collected was provided by the planning department of Portland State University, Metro, TriMet, Oregon Department of Transportation, and other municipal and non-profit agencies.

The PSU OSCDL Exhibit Team is composed of Rose M. Jackson, reference librarian and information consultant to the College of Urban and Public Affairs; Smyth Lai, research associate; Claire Rivers, research associate; and Evan White, student intern. The standards and specifications for the management and design of the project have been contributed by the Oregon Historical Society and funding has been made possible by the Board of the Oregon State Library through the Library Services and Technology Act program.
