Robert Bertini, civil and environmental engineering professor, and 20 civil and environmental engineering students traveled to Butte and Helena, Montana for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Pacific Northwest Regional Conference, April 7 - 9, 2005.

The PSU ASCE Student Chapter team brought back a first place award for the Surveying Competition, a first place award for Bridge Stiffness, and a third place award in the overall Steel Bridge Competition. The third place award qualifies the Bridge Team for the National Steel Bridge Competition, to be held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, May 27 - 28, 2005. The Concrete Canoe Team also performed admirably, bringing home a third place award for the Women's Sprint and a third place award for the Co-Ed Sprint. Congratulations to all team members!
