The Graduate School of Education hosted the annual JUSTEC conference in 2005. As one of its inaugural projects, the GSE will develop and maintain the organization's website to include membership information, conference calls for proposals, an electronic journal, and links to various education organizations in Japan
and the U.S.

Current JUSTEC membership includes approximately 30 colleges and universities in the two countries. The 2006 annual conference was held this summer at Tokyo Gakugei University in Tokyo, Japan. JUSTEC is supported by the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
