returning students

Former Portland State University students who have attended another college or university since leaving PSU, or who wish to enroll after an absence of more than one academic year must submit a re-enrollment application form to the Office of Admissions, Registration and Records. Download an electronic copy of the application form or request a form to be sent by mail from the Office of Admissions, Registration and Records.

Official transcripts must be submitted from each institution attended since leaving PSU. The priority filing date is the same as that for new students. Re-enrollment applications are processed within the same time frame as transfer and first-time student applications. Returning students must meet the minimum admission requirements in effect at the time of re-enrollment.

Returning students who have not attended another college or university and have attended classes at PSU within the academic year may re-enroll simply by registering for classes online, unless there is an academic or financial hold.

Academic Disqualification

If you have been academically disqualified from Portland State University, you must submit a Scholastic Standards Committee petition and contact the Information and Academic Support Center for information on re-instatement and academic advising. If you have been placed on academic probation at another institution, it will not affect your admission if your complete academic record meets the admission standards in effect at the time of your re-enrollment application. If you fail to meet the minimum requirements, you must follow the appropriate petition process.

Disciplinary Disqualification

If you have been disqualified from Portland State University for disciplinary reasons, you must contact the Office of Student Affairs, (503) 725-4422 to discuss options for re-enrollment. If you were disqualified from another institution for disciplinary reasons, you must be eligible for re-instatement at your previous institution in order to return to Portland State University.

Montana ranchers own a world record setting filly
Montana ranchers own a world record setting filly: Last September, a quarter horse owned by Dr. Ray ’69 and Wendy Norgaard ’67, MST ’72 set the world’s record for the fastest 300 yards in a derby trial at Yellowstone Downs in Billings, Montana. Although the couple didn’t make any money, they had something better.
