Campus Visit and Admissions Information

Undergraduate:

Admission Information Session

The Admissions Information Session is a 45 minute information session conducted by a representative from the Office of Undergraduate Admission.  The representative will discuss highlights about the University including our academics, general education program, campus involvement, and the application and admissions process for prospective freshmen and transfer students. 

Transfer Information Session

This 60 minute session is designed with the transfer student in mind.  It will be co-presented by an Admissions Counselor and Academic Adviser and the tour is given by a current PSU student.  The presentation will discuss highlights about the University, including  our academics, general education program, how transfer credits apply and the application process.  This session is for students who are currently attending or have attended a 2 year or 4 year institution. Campus Tour

This 75 minute walking tour is led by a current student and provides an overview of the undergraduate experience and the history of PSU, a chance to see a residence hall, and much more.

Graduate Tour and Information Session

This tour is designed specifically for students interested in attending Portland State University for their graduate education.  After the general campus tour, prospective students will be introduced to the Office of Graduate Studies staff, and briefed on information and services related to their potential studies at PSU.  After the presentation, students will be taken to additional locations on campus pertinent to graduate studies, and given the opportunity to visit their specific department of interest. Additional Visit Information

All Visits

All visits and tours begin in Room 131, Neuberger Hall, located on the corner of SW Broadway and SW Hall in downtown Portland [maps and directions]. Room 131 is in the short hallway on the south side of the main lobby. Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early to allow time for check-in.

Weekend Visits

We do not offer weekend visits at this time. However, if the only day that you are available is on a weekend, we can provide an informational packet with self-guided tour for you. (If you specify a weekend date in your Campus Visit request, we will automatically create this packet for you.)

The only visitation visit PSU offers on the weekend is PSU Freshman Preview Day offered during the fall quarter.

Confirmation

We make every effort to respond to visit requests within 1-2 business days. If you do not receive a campus visit confirmation via e-mail within that time, we recommend you first check your "junk mail" or "spam mail" folder for any correspondence from our office. If the email is not found, then we recommend you contact our office so we can resend a new confirmation e-mail.
